Hi bloggers and food lovers, how are you today? It’s almost the weekend again, what’s your favorite dish for the weekend? I personally like dishes that are a bit rich and spicy, like today’s recipe: Shrimp Fried Noodles. It’s a delicious dish with sweet, spicy (optional), savory, and crunchy flavors from the bean sprouts. Alright, let’s get started
Ingredients:
- 160 grams egg noodles
- 800 ml water
- 100 grams shrimp
- 2 tbsp ground spices (shallots, garlic, ground chili, candlenuts blended)
- 1 stalk green onion
- 1 stalk celery
- 1 egg
- 10 grams bean sprouts
- 1 bunch Chinese cabbage
- 7 tbsp sweet soy sauce
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 3 bird’s eye chili peppers (optional)
- 1 clove garlic, coarsely chopped
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- cooking oil
Instructions:
- Bring water to a boil in a pot
Add the egg noodles to the pot
Boil for 3 minutes until the noodles are cooked but not too soft
- Remove and drain
- Heat oil in a pan
- Add the chopped shrimp
- Cook until the shrimp turn pink
- Add the chopped garlic and onion
Add the cleaned and chopped Chinese cabbage and bean sprouts
Stir until well combined
- Crack 1 egg and add it to the pan
- Scramble the egg, then add soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, salt, and pepper
- Stir briefly until well combined
- Add the egg noodles and sliced chili peppers
Stir the noodles again until well combined, and don’t forget to adjust the seasoning
Remove from heat and serve
- Shrimp Fried Noodles are ready to eat
