Hi bloggers and food lovers! How are you all today? Since it’s still Eid al-Adha, we have plenty of goat meat on hand. My mom made goat curry today, so I thought I’d make roti jala to go with it. Roti jala or Net pancakes is a traditional dish of ours that looks like a net. It’s a perfect pairing, spicy, aromatic goat curry paired with savory roti jala. So yummy. Alright, let’s get started
Ingredients:
300 grams all-purpose flour
1 egg
1 tsp salt
400 ml water
2 tbsp cooking oil
Instructions:
Place the all-purpose flour in a bowl
Crack 1 egg and add it to the bowl
Add a pinch of salt and the cooking oil to the bowl
Stir briefly until it forms a dough
Gradually add water to the bowl, making sure the batter isn’t too thick or too runny
Stir the batter until it becomes a smooth, runny consistency
Strain the batter until there are no lumps
Once the batter is smooth, pour it into a sauce place or roti jala mold
Heat a non-stick pan
Pour the batter using the mold to form a net-like pattern
Cook until the edges of the batter are dry and no longer stick to the pan
Remove and place on a plate
Roll the roti jala or Net pancakes like this
Repeat until all the batter is used up
Serve the roti jala or net pancakes with the prepared goat curry
