Sæby in northern Denmark is a quiet seaside town. It’s little known but has an iconic statue - Fruen Fra Havet (Lady of the Sea).

The sculpture is relatively new (2001) and shows a two-faced woman. It’s name refers to Henrik Ibsen’s play which he wrote after visiting Sæby. The monument is placed in the Sæby Havn (marina)

I was lucky today to be able to have a walk by the sea and make photo just before the sunset. Yesterday was stormy and northern Denmark received tons of snow (btw, have you heard about people who had to sleep in IKEA shop as the snowstorm stranded them?). Amazingly the same sea that was so stormy yesterday, today was absolutely flat and quiet.

More on Sæby in my earlier posts. As I am staying here for a while, I will probably find some more interesting places in this little town.

Season 5 qualifiers

Round 1 of qualifiers will be played over the weekend spanning Dec 17-20 (that's immediately after the Season 4 Finals).

Important for now - the ranking table that decides seeding in the qualifiers will be fixed AFTER the quarterfinals of the current season.

Season 5 pre-qualifiers

Prior to Round 1 of qualifications, pre-qualifiers will be held. Players ranked #27 and below will compete on Dec 10-13 for the right to participate in the qualifiers. They will "walk alone" (ie. not playing versus anyone else). The idea is the following:

I will trace their @actifit reports over the 4 selected days (Friday thru Monday, Dec 10-13) and for each player, I will add up their best 3 results. The best 9 players will join Round 1 of Champions League qualifiers, next 14 will go into Round 1 of Consolation Cup qualifiers and the rest will have to try their luck next season.
