Ella era alta, muy alta

Ella es mi amiga Mariana, alta, muy alta y siempre vestida de negro: botas negras, chaqueta negra, pantalón negro y si tienen dudas, tenía una gata negra llamada Carmencita, bueno también una canina blanca, llamada Valquira.

Un día Mariana enfermo, fue raro, empezó con gripa, bronquitis, nuevamente gripa, ya no podía salir, así que sus amigas íbamos a su casa y comíamos palomitas de maíz con jugo de mora. Pero ella no mejoró y tras el primer ingreso al hospital, la situación empeoró, porque duraba semanas internada con medicación muy fuerte. Yo le hacía dibujos, entonces ella un día me envió este dibujo, porque sabe del amor grande que tengo por mi perro Waldo.

One day Mariana was sick, it was strange, she started with the flu, bronchitis, again the flu, she couldn't go out anymore, so her friends would go to her house and we would eat popcorn with blackberry juice. But she didn't get better and after the first admission to the hospital, the situation worsened, because she was hospitalized for weeks with very strong medication. I made her drawings, so one day she sent me this drawing, because she knows how much love I have for my dog Waldo.

Ella murió, se fue, me pude despedir porque unos días antes su familia me permitió visitarla, ella no hablaba, ella no veía, ella estaba cansada...

No estuve triste, ella llevaba muchos meses con dolor, su vida era demasiado difícil, postrada en una cama y sin tener noción de nada, ni siquiera sé si me reconoció cuando fui a verla, aunque hablamos mucho, en realidad yo hable, ella no podía hacerlo ya, pero reía sutilmente.

Mi último dibujo, para despedirla, con el vestido que ella había comprado para su matrimonio... aunque nunca se caso, no alcanzó a hacerlo.

She died, she left, I was able to say goodbye to her because a few days before her family allowed me to visit her, she didn't speak, she didn't see, she was tired... I was not sad, she had been in pain for many months and with a sad life, bedridden and with no notion of anything, I do not even know if I recognized when I went to see her, although we talked a lot, actually I spoke, she could not do it anymore, but laughed subtly. My last drawing, to say goodbye to her, with the dress that she had bought for her marriage... although I never got married, I couldn't do it.

Estoy intentando organizar las fotos de los stop-motion y encontré estos dibujos, fue imposible no sonreír, porque Mariana me dejó bellos recuerdos y sé que donde esté, es feliz.

¿Por qué les cuento esto?

Porque debemos recordar que hoy están, mañana no; hoy estamos, mañana no y como no sabemos que vendrá, siempre es mejor hacerle saber a quienes queremos, que son importantes en nuestra vida y que agradecemos su compañía y enseñanzas.

I'm trying to organize the stop-motion photos and I found these drawings, it was impossible not to smile, because Mariana left me beautiful memories and I know that where she is, she is happy.
Why am I telling you this? Because we must remember that today they are, tomorrow they are not; today we are, tomorrow we are not and since we do not know that it will come, it is always better to let those we love know that they are important in our lives and that we are grateful for their company and teachings.
