Un ciempiés muy abusivo,
entro a casa sin permiso,
camino como si fuera su piso
mientras yo estaba en otro sitio.
Tomó un televisor de la mesa
y se lo llevó sin ninguna pena,
desapareció de la escena,
es un robo que nadie espera.
A very pushy centipede,
came into the house without permission,
walked around as if it were his own place
while I was somewhere else.
He grabbed a TV from the table
and took it without a second thought,
then vanished from the scene,
it’s a theft no one expects.
Cuando llegué a mi casa,
el televisor no estaba,
grité angustiada,
y revisé que nada más faltara.
Salí a buscar una nueva televisión
y mientras tanto algo pasó,
el abusivo insecto regresó
y está vez mi cama se robó.
When I got home,
the TV was gone,
I screamed in distress,
and checked to make sure nothing else was missing.
I went out to look for a new TV,
and while I was gone, something happened,
that pesky bug came back,
and this time it stole my bed.
Cuando regresé me enfadé
y sentada en el suelo me quedé,
está situación debo resolver
y al ladrón voy a descubrir está vez.
Cuando el ciempiés llegó,
mi pierna con fuerza tomó,
quería robarme, mucho me asustó
pero me liberé y lo enfrenté con convicción.
When I came back, I got angry
and sat down on the floor,
I have to resolve this situation
and this time I’m going to catch the thief.
When the centipede arrived,
it grabbed my leg with force,
it wanted to steal from me,it scared me a lot,
but I broke free and faced it with determination.
El animal se avergonzó por los hechos
y trajo la cama de regreso,
la dejó en su puesto
y yo recuperé algunos de elementos.
Antes de irse, llamé al animal
y le dije que la almohada se podía llevar.
El ciempiés se alegro de más
y así compartí un poco de mi felicidad, aunque me robó sin piedad.
The animal felt ashamed of what had happened
and brought the bed back,
put it back in its place,
and I recovered some of my belongings.
Before it left, I called out to the animal
and told it that it could take the pillow.
The centipede was overjoyed,
and so I shared a little of my happiness with it, even though it had robbed me without mercy.
