[ESP-ING] Thank you for so much August

Se fue agosto y fue un mes fuerte a nivel económico, después del terremoto las cosas ya no han estado igual, es decir la economía no se ha movido como antes, además agosto es un mes donde muchas personas se van de viaje, otras se preparan para el regreso a clase de sus hijos, y es un mes donde el comercio decae un poco, y solo prevalece los negocios de alimentos a flote.

Por otro lado agosto también fue un mes de algunas salidas, aprovechar las vacaciones para ir a la playa, disfrutar en familia, ya que pronto se aproxima el regreso a la universidad de mi hija y las obligaciones de mi hijo que ya trabaja y lo ha tenido bastante ocupado, nosotros pues también dejos un poco de lado nuestras obligaciones de trabajo para estar con ellos y disfrutarlos.

Este mes también fue de compartir con mi familia materna ya que hubieron algunas celebraciones que nos ayudaron a mantener la unidad en la filia, a conversar de todas las cosas que teníamos tiempo sin hablar, de reencuentros con familiares que no habíamos visto en algún tiempo, de lágrimas de sinceridad, tiempo de reconciliación, juegos y diversión, nada como volver a ser niños en familia.

También agosto fue tiempo de compartir con amigos y hermanos de la iglesia, tiempo de calidad para hablar de Dios y de todas las cosas que acontecen al mundo, un tiempo de fe, para mi esto me hace sentir con ánimo y aumenta la fe cada vez que hablamos y compartimos testimonios que nos nutren el alma, siento como si estuviera con mi familia, una nueva familia en la fe.

Terminó agosto y no puedo decir más que gracia a Dios que aún estamos vivos, que estamos sanos, y estamos juntos, gracias por las cosas buenas que nos dejo agosto y espero que septiembre sea aún mejor.

August has come to an end, and it was a strong month economically. Since the earthquake, things haven’t been the same—that is, the economy hasn’t been moving as it did before. Additionally, August is a month when many people go on vacation, others prepare for their children’s return to school, and retail sales tend to slow down a bit, with only the food industry staying afloat.

On the other hand, August was also a month for some getaways—taking advantage of the vacation to go to the beach and enjoy time with the family. Since my daughter’s return to college is coming up soon and my son, who’s already working, has been quite busy with his responsibilities, we also set aside our work obligations a bit to be with them and enjoy their company.

This month was also a time to spend with my maternal family, as there were several celebrations that helped us maintain our family bond—talking about all the things we hadn’t had time to discuss in a while, reuniting with relatives we hadn’t seen in some time, sharing heartfelt tears, a time for reconciliation, games, and fun. There’s nothing quite like being kids again as a family.

August was also a time to spend with friends and brothers and sisters in the church—quality time to talk about God and all the things happening in the world, a time of faith. For me, this lifts my spirits and strengthens my faith every time we talk and share testimonies that nourish our souls; I feel as if I were with my family—a new family in the faith.

August has come to an end, and I can only say, “Thank God” that we’re still alive, that we’re healthy, and that we’re together. Thank you for the good things August brought us, and I hope September will be even better.
