! [ENGLISH]

We went to the Tom in Maracay. For those who don’t know, the Tom is the Maracay Opera House, where many artists perform, along with comedies, dance shows, and many other events that take place there. This time, we went to an ’80s-themed night and a celebration featuring the Billos Caracas Boys orchestra—a tribute to them. I hadn’t planned on going to this event, but God has been good to me, and we were given two tickets.

The invitation was actually for my husband and me, but he couldn’t attend because he was working and was tired when he got home, so I went with my daughter to enjoy this evening full of music, dancing, and memories of the music from that era—which, for me, is the best music of all time. The ’80s and ’90s had the best dance music.

The theater was full of seniors, but they had the spirit of 20-year-olds—because absolutely everyone was dancing. They really enjoyed this performance by the Sin Fronteras orchestra. I hadn’t heard of this orchestra before, but they’re really good—they sing all kinds of songs—and it felt so real, as if the artists from that era had actually been there.

This was one of the best gifts we’ve ever received, since it’s worth seeing this kind of event—to take your mind off things and spend a fun evening. I love to dance, and I do it through dance therapy, but this kind of music with a live orchestra is something different; it’s something we really need to have fun and be able to share other stages and spaces. We had a happy evening—a truly exciting and fun night.
