Last week, I shared with you the baby shower for my cousin's son—a lovely celebration held at a beautiful country estate. Well, this time I’d like to share a similar celebration with you; this one took place a few months ago, and the baby has actually already been born. It was a baby shower for my neighbor's daughter, but since we’ve known each other for so many years, our families consider one another more than just neighbors or friends—we’re like relatives. It was a family gathering held at a gorgeous estate a bit outside the city; getting there was a bit of a challenge because the directions we were given were confusing, and to make matters worse, none of us had mobile data, so we couldn't use GPS. However, once we arrived, we felt the journey was worth it because the place was vast and stunning, featuring large stretches of lawn, a swimming pool, and a spacious party hall, allowing guests to choose between being indoors or outdoors.
La semana pasada yo compartí con ustedes la celebración del Baby Shower del hijo de mi primo, fue una bonita celebración en una finca hermosa, pues bueno en esta ocasión también quiero compartir con ustedes una celebración similar a la anterior, fue de hace algunos meses, el bebé incluso ya nació hace algunas semanas. El Baby Shower era de la hija de mi vecina, pero como tenemos tantísimos años de concernos, su familia y la mía nos concideramos más que vecinos o amigos, parientes, así que fue una celebración entre familia, en una finca preciosa un poco apartada de la ciudad, por eso nos costó llegar allí, recuerdo que la dirección que ns diern era un poco confusa y para colmo ningun tenía datos móbiles en sus telefonos y por ende no podíamos usar el GPS, pero cuando llegamos sentímos que valío la pena la travesía pues el lugar ea grande y precioso: tenía grandes extensiones de cesped, una piscina y un espacioso salón de fiestas, así que los invitados podían elegir entre estar bajo techo o al aire libre.
The games and activities were fun, though—as I mentioned in my previous post—I enjoy watching them more than actually participating. That said, I did join in on one, even though I was among the first to get eliminated, haha 😄. That’s actually how I was able to take photos; my sister was the last one out in that game—she came really close to winning. The challenge involved holding a handkerchief with just two fingers and passing it from hand to hand while trying to keep it from folding; naturally, as it moved along the line, it would get longer and more prone to folding. It was hilarious watching people do all sorts of things to prevent that from happening, and the host they hired did a great job.
Los juegos y actividades que hicieron estuvieron divertidos, aunque como les dije en el post anterior, yo disfrutó más viendo estos juegos que participando en ellos, sin embargo participé en uno, aunque fui de la primeras en quedar eliminada jaja 😄 y esa es la razón por la cuál pude fotografiar, mi hermana fue la última en quedar eliminada en el juego, osea casi casi gana. Se trataba tomar con dos dedos un pañuelo y pasarlo de mano en mano tratando de evitar que se doblara, y obviamente a medida que este pasaba de mano en mano se volvía más largo y era más propenso a que se doblara. Era muy gracioso ver a lagente hacer de todo para evitarlo, además el animador que contrataron hizo un muy buen trabajo.
We really had an excellent weekend—a perfect Saturday with the family. It started off a bit stressful, as my sister and I went early to buy the gift and barely had enough time to get ready and head to the party, but we ended up having a wonderful day. We reconnected with people we hadn't seen in years and shared plenty of laughter, but above all, we gathered good energy and blessings for the baby on the way—praying to God that the child enjoys a full, long life rich in blessings, and a prosperous future filled with health and happiness.
Realmente pasamos un excelente fin de semana, un sábado preciso en familia, inició cn un poco de estrés ya que mi hermana y yo fuimos temprano a comprar el regalo y llegamos con la hora justa para arreglarnos y salir rumbo a la fiesta pero pasamos un día estupendo, nos reencontramos con personas que no veíamos desde hacía años, nos reímos, perosobre todo recolectamos buenas energías y bendiciones para el bebé que venía en camino, esperando en Dios que tenga una vida plena, larga y llena de bendiciones, un futuro próspero, lleno de salud y felicidad.
