Hello, how are you? I've been craving salted egg for a long time now, and my mom bought a few of them because I mentioned to her that I was craving it.

I wanted to make the recipe I saw online, but I just decided to make sisig tofu since that's the only recipe they wanted me to cook when the main ingredient is tofu. So I am just going to add the salted egg to it, and to be honest, it adds flavor in it.

Sisig tofu is one dish that never leaves our weekly food plan because it is healthier than eating the classic sisig, and eating too much red meat is not good sometimes. Since we discovered the tofu that tastes like real tofu, that's when we liked it LOL.

Ingredients I Used:

  • 1/2 cup of Cooking Oil
  • Salt
  • Ground Pepper
  • 1kg of Tofu
  • Spicy Canned Tuna
  • Red Onion
  • Green Chilis
  • 1 tbsp. Butter
  • 3 tbsp. Soy Sauce
  • 2 Salted Eggs
  • 1 tbsp. Mayonnaise

Let's Cook!

In a hot pan, I pour in half a cup of cooking oil, then season it with a little salt and pepper. When the oil is hot, I add the tofu.

Fried each side until crispy, then set aside.

Then I added the canned tuna.

Add the red onion and green chilis and cook all of them until the tuna gets crispy and all the moisture has evaporated.

Then I added a tablespoon of butter to add a buttery aroma to it.

Add 3 tablespoons of soy sauce and let it seep into the tuna.

Then I added the tofu, and, by the way, I cut it into small pieces.

Then I added the salted eggs, cut into pieces, and mixed everything until well combined.

Then I added a tablespoon of mayonnaise and mixed everything.

Happy eating!

Thank you for visiting, see you on my next blog. :D
