Hello, how are you? Do you remember I was craving sinigang na bangus a week ago? That craving is getting real today because I am going to cook sinigang na bangus for lunch! YES!

Even though the weather is very hot today, I still don't care because we are going to eat it inside with the AC on LOL. That is how you do it our way hehe. I used to not super like sinigang na bangus before, but after knowing it is a perfect combination of sinigang mix with miso, oh, I really like it now, especially the middle part of the bangus. Perfect!

Ingredients I Used:

  • 1 tbsp. cooking oil
  • garlic
  • red onion
  • ginger
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp. fish sauce
  • ground pepper
  • 1 litre hot water
  • kamote leaves
  • bangus (milk fish)
  • sinigang mix miso and original

Let's Cook!

In a pot, I pour about a tablespoon of cooking oil, and then I saut茅 the aromatics like garlic, red onion, and ginger for about a minute or until the aroma comes out.

I added the tomatoes and let them cook until the texture turns into a mush. In that way, it will extract its natural color and flavor. And I added a dash of ground pepper.

Add two tablespoons of fish sauce and let that seep into the tomatoes and aromatics.

Add a hot litre of water, then add the bangus next.

Add the kamote leaves next.

Let it cook for about 5-8 minutes with the lid on over medium to high heat.

After that, I am going to add the sinigang mix, which I used two miso and the original. Make sure to add just half of these two, because I ran out of miso and only half was left, so I used the original mix to add more LOL.

Cook for about 1-3 minutes and done! Eat it while it is still hot.

Perfect with hot cooked rice!

Happy eating! :D

Thank you for visiting, see you on my next blog. :D
Please take care of your mental health as well.
I hope you are okay today :))
