Hello, how are you? We were supposed to go out today, but everyone is very tired from the business we did yesterday, and I agree, LOL.
Today I am going to cook ginisang upo, and we usually eat this dish before, but it got forgotten for a long time LOL. So we bought one today for our lunch. I remember when I was still learning to cook, I cooked this dish for the first time, and I still did not know that you don't need to add water when cooking it, so after I cooked it, it had more water than I added, so yeah, good memory back then LOL.
Ingredients I Used:
Ingredients I Used:
- Meat
- 2 tbsp. Cooking Oil
- Garlic
- Red Onion
- Ginger
- Tomato
- Bagoong
- Chicken Broth Cube
- All-in-One Seasoning
- Upo
Let's Cook!
Let's Cook!
In a pan, I added two tablespoons of cooking oil, and then I added the meat when the cooking oil was hot enough and then cook it until the texture turns into a cripsy.
Add the aromatics like garlic, red onion, and ginger, and sauté them until the aroma comes out.
Add tomatoes next and then cook it until the texture turns into mush.
Add two tablespoons of bagoong, or use fish sauce (the clear one). Let the bagoong seep into the meat and tomatoes for better taste and to remove the fishiness of the bagoong too.
Add a chicken broth cube.
Add the upo next.
Mix everything until well combined.
Add a dash of all-in-one seasoning and then cook it for about 8-10 minutes over medium heat.
You do not need to add water when cooking upo because it will extract its own water this what it looks like after cooking it.
Serve hot and plated.
Happy eating! :D
Thank you for visiting, see you on my next blog. :D
