Ingredients:
25 cl of sunflower oil (Yes this cake is not "light" at all!)
250 g caster sugar
10 cl of milk
4 eggs at room temperature
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (or a sachet of vanilla sugar)
300 g of flour
1 teaspoon of yeast
25 g unsweetened cocoa powder
Utensils:
1 cake rack
1 electric mixer
1 salad bowl
1 wooden spoon
1 oven
1 knife
Preparation:
Step 1
Butter and flour a round pan.
Step 2
In a large salad bowl, mix the oil, sugar, milk and eggs until a homogeneous mixture is obtained (do not use an electric mixer to avoid introducing a bubble into the mixture).
Step 3
Divide the preparation into two equal parts.
Step 4
In one, add 175 g of flour with ½ teaspoon of baking powder and a teaspoon of vanilla extract (or vanilla sugar), mix well to obtain a homogeneous preparation.
Step 5
In the other, add the remaining flour (125 g) with ½ tablespoon of yeast, then add the bitter cocoa, mix to obtain a homogeneous preparation.
Step 6
Preheat the oven to 180 ° C (thermostat 6).
Step 7
In the center of the mold, alternately pour two tablespoons of each dough (one over the other) and repeat the operation until the dough is exhausted, the dough will spread by itself little by little.
Step 8
Cook for about 40 minutes (looking carefully, without opening the oven), then check the cooking with a blade, it should come out dry.
Step 9
Take it out of the oven and let it cool before you unroll, cut and see its "bruises"!
Note:
Warm up your zebra cake before unrolling it!
