Another week of Steemit Iron Chef!!

This time we have another special theme in the contest. We had to make a monochromatic dish. Not an easy task.

I usually spend quite a bit of time thinking about what to prepare for the contest, but for the first time since I’m posting for SIC, I sudently found myself eating a dish that might work for the week’s theme.

And I decided to post it.

The real omelete

Ingredients:

Potatoes

Eggs

Onions

Mussels on the side

This is one of my favourites meal. Only 3 ingredients, but a real pleasure. It takes time and practice to reach masterly cooking it. It can be so good or so bad, depending on how skilled the chef is.

For me is important to make it thick. That gives an extra creamy texture.

I always like to eat this potato omelet with mussels. A little bit of cheese also works very well.

This is a very typical spanish dish. Some people add to it pepper, zucchini or some other vegetables. But this is the original version.
