Today, I'm going to share fragments of my life, of many times living realities that are difficult to swallow. All the tools I have taken, I have learned In Self Defense came into my life to make me even stronger and braver for those moments where my life has been compromised. But not all the time it has been like this; the months of chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer were very hard.

At those times I tightened my chest, took a deep breath, froze my feelings, paralyzed my heart. He needed me to stand firm because he knew what I was going through. I put everything into practice: acceptance, breathing, flowing, resilience, meditation, visualization, letting go, trusting.

Sometimes it worked, but as the weeks and months passed before going to surgery, I felt a vacuum in my throat. Although I had a lot of financial support from a lot of people, the truth is that coming out of that situation I was left without a penny, too much money to recover. Certainly, my gratitude to God for this new opportunity for life, gave me strength to keep going.

After that, everything was paralyzed, post-pandemic, what do you think?, I had to work tirelessly in the hairdresser of a friend to whom I asked for a job, many people were surprised to see me tending a box, making and even serving a coffee or cleaning everything, before the customers and workers will arrive. Everyone was looking without asking, but I knew, and I felt that they wanted to know.

It was hard for me to learn a lot because the Doctor in education and management sciences, a university professor with a wide and vast curriculum vitae, became a "service Lady” who was treated very badly many times, in the hairdresser, however, every day I arrived smiling with my best attitude to give the best on that day.

I managed to look at myself in the mirror after so many days of anguish and I saw myself as I am, as one day I will have to leave; I tried to reflect on everything I have learned in this time of chaos and confusion. I'm exhausted, getting over it takes time, healing is a process, but I value it.

I never thought I was so strong until life brought me face to face, with situations that challenged me, shook me up and confronted me with harsh and unknown realities.

Then I realized that I have an inner strength to face the battles that come my way, my Faith is greater than my fears and my desire to be happy is my great power, because I know what it is to fight even in the midst of adversity.

Today is another chapter of my life, full of pleasant experiences (some not so much); but in the end a great learning. I understood that the eyes see beauty in appearance; no matter the size of the heart, and that no ingratitude closes it, no indifference tires it.

The human heart is an instrument with many strings; the perfect connoisseur will know how to make them all vibrate, like a good musician, to interpret the feeling of this fragile, but pleasant life and use the apparent, as an indication of the non-apparent that reminds me that my beauty and inner strength, will always be my great power.

My reflection is that we do not wait until we know what it feels like to be dead, it will be better to feel with intensity every moment, no matter how simple or everyday it may be, that makes happiness. You don't need to wait for this or that to enjoy it. Feel every moment, every obstacle and every circumstance to transcend and be happy.

Every day that passes, I am certain that we do not need so many paraphernalia to be happy, but that is a very profound inner change. Everything else is gain, the memories we leave between those who really love us is the truly valuable thing.

The fragments of my life may be similar to yours, because we all often go through complex situations; telling part of my story I just want to highlight how fragile human beings are and that for the coffin we take only one change of clothes and incidentally, we don't choose it... in the end, everyone, absolutely everyone will have a coffin.

Let's stop looking for reasons to be unhappy, let's focus on things that we do have and on the thousands of reasons why we should be very happy.

Life is like a restaurant, no one leaves without paying.

I thank everyone who made themselves present in some way, those good people who are around me and those who are not, how much they taught me!!.

*I understood that many people are not interested in the common good, only their own; those who call me to ask me for favors, but who do not remember at all, when they watch you suffer.

What I did confirm is that in this life I was not wrong; my mission will continue to be to serve, to deliver, it generates satisfaction and this peace translates into happiness.

Janitze.
