There are those who have been waiting for it since Monday and those who feel that it is just another day. Because when we have a head full of pending, worries or decisions that you've been putting off, changing the day doesn't always change how we feel.
Have you ever been a co-driver in your own car? Someone else drives, decides the route, brakes, accelerates and one there, clutching the seat, thinking: "I wouldn't have crossed here."
Sometimes it's the same with life: we let fear, debts, what others think decide for us. We grow thanks to two types of experiences: the joy of winning, and the sorrow of losing. What do we do when an emotion hits us before we have time to think? The truth is that we can't always prevent the wave from coming. Because an emotion also rises, reaches a point of intensity and then changes, just like the waves of the sea do.
The problem appears when we decide just at the moment when we are most overwhelmed. We respond. We argued. We're leaving. We come back and say yes when we really wanted to say no.
And then we thought, “Why did I react like that?"Managing our emotions does not mean to stop feeling them. It means learning to recognize what was triggered, what we need at that moment and when it is appropriate to act, and to take control again, it is not about fighting the wave. It's about learning what to do when it comes in full force.
The idea is to keep ourselves busy and think about the real, the tangible, what is, what we have, not to make ourselves questions like... what would have happened if..., because it will be what... and if this happens and if such a thing... and blah blah blah....
I've done everything to stop overthinking when the waves are rising and falling.I read books, listen to podcasts, try to think positive, I set out to change a thousand times, and I always end up in the same place, and behind it there are almost always years of real effort, pointing to the wrong place.
Something happened to me last week that made me think the following: when someone we love makes a mistake, we usually tell them: “Relax, try again.” But when the one who makes a mistake is one, the whip does appear there: "What a shame”, “the same thing again”, “you should do better”.
Aha, do you guys realize the difference?
We also have to learn to be on our own side, especially when things go differently than we wanted. The same happens when we are thinking about money sometimes one gets used to saying“ "When I have more money, there yes”", well, and what are we doing with what we have today?
Because we have resources, you know, I mean things, we know people, we have skills, experience. The question is what are we doing with all that.
