Work has commenced in earnest and there is no time to joke around. It’s really something you must do and face squarely. At times, I do think about how some people are able to manage a lot of tasks and still do their things without breaking down at all. It’s not that I can’t multitask, but I appreciate people who are able to do it and still keep everything together.
After about a month of holiday, now that the examination has started again, I must put in the work. Even though I wasn’t able to enjoy the holiday due to the crisis and predicament that befell the family, I thank God for making everything better. I’m happy that I can return to work and face the things that need to be done.
The work, even though we just resumed, was tedious, as we have a lot on deck to do. We had to start from cleaning the school compound and getting around the records and other things in order.
The students’ response to the resumption was quite low, as many of them believed that cleaning the school was what we would prioritise on the first day. But it wasn’t so. At least, we were able to give them the scheme of work and the recommended textbooks, and also give them the instructions they ought to have concerning the new session.
It is just the beginning, and there is still a lot to do. The holiday is over, the work has started again, and I must put in my best and keep going.
