And I'm back for another sailing of the freewriting kind, AKA: The You Choose Writing Cruise!

A TL:DR summary of this is I am doing a series of freewrites and continue the ongoing tale by using the most upvoted prompt suggestion comment in the previous freewrite post.

In the previous YCWC comments, breezin@breezin threw out a lovely suggestion of using an extreme sport as a prompt to continue the tale, and that's just what I did. Happy Reading!!

The interior of the hen house emanated a faint glow as Jessica walked toward the front door. The rough slab door was slightly ajar and shades of blue and yellow light beamed out the opening.

"That's strange," she mused, "We weren't doing any special lighting for these scenes."

As she strode closer, her arm hair started to lift aloft, as did the hair on the back of her newly exposed neck, for she had just lopped off her long auburn locks for a fashionable shag pixie cut. G'coin did not like her she-wolf inspired hairdo.

"He's such a pork rind," she murmured as she took a tentative step through the door.

The scene that greeted Jessica perplexed her to the core. G'coin and the main cast were standing off to the side, their mouths gaping in awe, for what was standing in front of the group was almost inexplicable.

A golden-haired lithe giant faced down an erect panther. The panther had a sleek blue-black glow and almost human features, including a pretty hardcore mohawk. Jessica felt the two coffees she had been carrying splash off her freshly manicured toenails.

"There's only one way to settle this Kattra." the almost glowing statuesque creature said as it narrowed its amber eyes towards the panther-like creature.

"And what's that, Avistra?" Kattra replied in a tone that sounded like a cat purring while it toyed with a field mouse.

"The ancient way," Avistra returned, flicking its molten gold hair over a feather-covered shoulder.

"Indeed," Kattra said her canines unfolding into a sinister grin, "Bruce! get me a sheet of plywood!"

Bruce shook when his name was shouted and almost dropped the plate of decaying pizza.

"Uh what, Kendra-cat lady?" he dribbled out, spraying confused spittle all over his little breakdancing insect.

Jessica glanced over at G'coin and the boys, they seemed to be stuck in a trance, "No hope there, as usual," she grumbled as she flicked droplets of coffee off of her sandals.

She looked up. Both of the beings were staring at her.

"What? you need a sheet of plywood, I'm not doing it with a double white chocolate mocha all over my toes." Jessica spat.

Before the two could respond, Jessica grabbed Bruce's elbow and yarded him and his plate of pizza out of the hen house.

"Where's a sheet of plywood?" she urged, grabbing both of Bruce's arms.

"Hey! Careful! You'll hurt the little guy!" Bruce growled as she jerked an arm free and held it over the still buzzing and bouncing around insect.

"Bruce! No one cares about your fly! What the heck happened in there?" Jessica demanded.

Before Bruce could reply, a procession emerged from the hen house. G'coin led the way in his tracksuit, followed by George, Dolph, and C.T. Jr.. Bringing up the rear were the two beings.

Jessica felt her attention being sucked into just beholding the two, her knees threatened to give out.

"Not today," she muttered through clenched teeth before stomping over to help Bruce with the piece of plywood he was trying to drag one-handed.

"Set it right there," the golden bird-like in appearance creature demanded with all the poise of a king. Jessica bristled at his magnanimous tone.

"Yes, your highness," she replied sarcastically.

Suddenly, the panther-like being slashed out and smacked the pizza plate. It flew high in the air above them all. The creature then let out a roar towards the flying dinner wear and the plate and everything on it burst into dust.

"Nooooo!" Bruce wailed dropping the plywood.

"Keep up the attitude, and you'll be next primitive," Kattra growled, her unnaturally blue eyes glistening.

Jessica and Bruce clumped together next to the rest of the crew. Their eyes widened in confusion as they watched the two beings lay down on the cardboard and put their very human-like feet together.

"It looks like they are gonna toe-wrestle," G'coin whispered, "I had a buddy who directed a solid piece on that sport."

The wind suddenly picked up around the group as the two being's toes interlocked.

"For some reason, I think this isn't going to be a standard toe wrestling match," Jessica uttered, her tone laced with dread.
