And here we are, the second sailing of a writing voyage most fantastical. By fantastical I mean that my fellow hivers commented with some beyond solid prompts for my grey matter to play with.
What am I blathering on about? See here. A TL:DR summary is I am doing a series of freewrites and continue the ongoing tale by using the most upvoted prompt suggestion comment in the previous freewrite post.
Here's the thing, no one comment in my previous post got the most upvotes, so I got to do a fun thing, and use all of them. Now, nine prompts is a little much for a freewrite, so it being my blog and such, I picked one from each commenter.
Today's freewrite and story continuation will include the following:
A Breakdancing Fly

A Trickster god who only wants a diet soda that tastes good.

And....
A Shapeshifter

Thank you all so very much for playing along! And now, let's dive in!
"CUT!"
The man in the red Adidas tracksuit rushed in between C.T. Jr., Dolph, and George.
"How am I going to get my invite to Sundance if you stable geniuses can't get into this right?" he demanded, flicking his hands in the air.
"I just can't figure out my guy's motivation, G'coin, I mean why is he such a tool?"C.T. Jr. whined.
The chick hobbled up to the G'Coin's red Adidas shoe and began pecking at it like it was an overripe strawberry.
"Jake, can we salvage any of that?" G'coin demanded to the guy who wielded the latest model iPhone on a tripod.
Before the cinematographer could answer, the chick made a strangled peep and exploded in size.
In the blink of a camera lens, a statuesque creature of undetermined gender stood before them. Standing at well over seven feet tall and wearing a sheath that resembled pearlescent feathers, the golden-haired being beheld the film crew with a look of disdain emanating from its cold, black eyes.
"Fires of Hades you humans are so dull, but that's to be expected I suppose, you still haven't cracked diet soda." an androgynous voice tinkled through the henhouse.
Before anyone could close their gaping mouths, Bruce burst through the henhouse door.
"Yo, yo, yo! Check this little guy out!" he hollered, oblivious to the glowing platinum-haired god standing in the middle of the coop, "This fly's got flow!"
Bruce ran right up to the group and presented a paper plate containing pizza that was past its eat-by date, next to a congealed piece of Italian sausage a fly was hopping around in a synchronized manner.
"Uh, Bruce, you ten ply dung fly! We got something bigger going on here!" G'coin hissed.
Bruce was so enamored by the little break-dancing insect that he still hadn't noticed the god in the room and continued, "What? No, G'Coin, you got to check out this little guy's vibe, he belongs on Tik Tok for real tho!"
The little fly buzzed and bounced around like a Skid on a piece of cardboard outside a convenience store. Bruce's unkempt goatee quivered with delight.
The still-unnamed god flicked its long, impossibly straight hair over its defined shoulder and opened its perfect mouth to speak.
The door smacked open.
"Kendra? What are you doing here? We're not filming your scenes until at least 3..."G'coin babbled, taking a step away from the golden-haired creature who was starting to glow.
"Oh, you know, G, in this economy lots of us got more than one job." Kendra quipped as her eyes turned from pale green to glowing amber.
"Hello Avistra, long time no see." she crooned as her body shifted into something that resembled a blue black panther.
And there ya go! Where are we going next? throw your prompt ideas at me! I will use the most upvoted prompt containing comment or in absence of that I will randomly pick some prompts from each of you like I did today.
