Saludos team.
Hi, team. Today I want to share with you how my running workout went. I went out with my wife to run a route I love: Las Casitas. This route is special to me because it has a variety of hills that test my endurance and strength, and I really enjoy that challenge.
Before heading out, I mentally prepared myself, hydrated well, and decided to start with a light jog to warm up my muscles. My plan was to run the route progressively—that is, to gradually increase the intensity as I went along. I wanted to use the hills to build strength and then maintain a steady pace on the flat sections.
However, reality turned out a bit differently than planned. During the first half of the route, I did manage to run progressively, with some hills that really pushed me and helped me pick up the pace. But in the second half, I decided to settle into a gentle jog, maintaining a steady pace without pushing my body too hard, until I’d been running for an hour and thirty minutes.
Although I didn’t follow the plan exactly as I’d envisioned, I feel like it was a good session. It allowed me to enjoy the scenery, spend some quality time with my wife, and continue making progress toward my goal of improving my endurance and running technique. Sometimes plans change along the way, and it’s okay to adapt to what your body needs.
I’m motivated to keep training and discover new routes.
