I have to admit, I was disappointed that I forgot to tell the lady who took my order to inform the chef not to add milk or cream to the dish. I have nothing against the recipe however, I'm not just a fan of a fish head soup with milk in it. For me, it felt like those two ingredients didn't get along inside my stomach, lol.
It is what it is. I only realized what I forgot when I received my food. I couldn't do anything about it so I simply enjoyed the meal and finished the whole thing (except for the bones of course:)).
It's so delicious! Fish Head Soup with Beehoon!
It was already late so I didn't want to eat a meal that was too heavy so I opted out for rice and simply went for the bee hoon option.
I am amazed that there are still other customers even though it's already late. The place is already silent but I can still hear the clanking of wok. It only shows that the restaurant are still receiving orders from customers through an online delivery app.
By the way, how does it feel to eat fish heads using chopsticks? I would say that it's a risky move. There are so many huge tough fish bones that could easily puncture my gums if I'm not careful enough. But I do enjoy the experience since fish is one of my favorite types of protein. The fish bones don't scare me because it's a very good dish.
Of course, the perfect match for a fish dish... pickled green chili!
The sharpness of the of sour and spicy taste is perfect with this dish. It made me want to munch even more. I take a slice of chili on every munch of the fish. It's a pleasurable experience!
