During the assault on the Zenith base, Sylens activated his machine to disable their shields. While machines swarmed the enemy, Tilda urged us toward the tower. Riding the cargo elevator, I faced Erik without his shield, where I dodged his heavy attacks until he was dealt with.

Outside the base, machines continued to fight one another in a mass of metal. Suddenly, the Zeniths emerged from their stronghold in far greater numbers than we anticipated in the past.

Gerard, the leader of the Zeniths, spotted Aloy immediately and dispatched one of his operatives to attack her. Aloy called out to Sylens, urging him to drop their force shields, while Sylens worked frantically to power up his device.

The Zeniths landed on the open ground, with Gerard taunting them that their attacks were completely pointless. Sylens asked for just one more moment to charge his weapon to destroy their invulnerability.

Gerard ordered his forces to light us up, but Sylens finally completed the sequence and fired his device. At first, nothing seemed to happen, but a moment later, the pulse took effect, completely shutting off the energy shields of every Zenith on the field.

The nearby machines immediately turned their aggression onto the unshielded Zeniths, taking several of them down while others retreated into the base. Tilda reached our position and warned us that we could not let Gerard escape.

With no alternate routes, we had to push directly through the chaotic warpath, fighting past swarms of angry machines along the way. Everyone pulled their weight in the fight.

Tilda instructed Sylens and Aloy to scale the main tower to secure GAIA and free Beta, promising that she would handle Gerard herself.

Though I remained cautious about her true motives, Tilda appeared to be fully aligned with our goal.

Aloy reached the base of the tower, where I needed to find a way to the top. I headed below the structure to activate a heavy cargo elevator. As I engaged the controls, a familiar Zenith dropped down to attack.

It was Erik, who started the elevator ascent himself while declaring that we had unfinished business from our previous encounter. The key difference this time was that Erik no longer had his shield to protect him.

Erik launched an aggressive attack from the start, forcing me to rely on rapid arrow shots. Aloy warned that allowing him to close the distance would result in massive damage, but Erik repeatedly tried to rush my position.

I kept my distance, continually firing from afar until I successfully shattered his face mask. Despite losing his shield, the Zenith remained a complete powerhouse. He was even firing missile-like projectiles directly at me.

I constantly dodged his heavy attacks while dealing damage whenever an opening appeared. Playing on a lower difficulty setting was the only thing keeping me alive through the onslaught.

Eventually, I brought Erik to his knees. While hew as bleeding out, he mentioned that he had almost forgotten what it felt like to experience real pain. Before he could recover, Zo stepped up behind him, plunging her spear straight into his back to finish him off for good.

The next post will be coming soon. Screenshots are my take from the game and I took the game logo that I used on the thumbnail picture from online.
