While riding toward Kashine Hills, I came across dead samurai bodies killed by Mongols. A Mongol patrol approached, so I charged forward and jumped off my horse to engage them. I eliminated their archer, heavy shield warriors, spearman, and successfully avenged the fallen samurai ending the enemy patrol.
When I was riding toward Kashine Hills, I passed a location where I noticed a handful of dead bodies belonging mostly to samurai. I knew immediately that this was the work of the Mongols.
At the same time, I noticed a Mongol patrol coming down the path toward this direction. I rushed straight toward them without hesitation.
I jumped off my horse toward one of the Mongols to land a critical attack right away.
An archer in their group decided to shoot at me, while the other Mongols moved to take cover. I took a hit from the arrow, but I quickly went after the archer first to stop the ranged threat while the remaining enemy forces rushed toward me.
I took down two more Mongols in the middle of the fight while large brutes carrying heavy shields tried to attack me. One of them managed to land a heavy blow on me, sending me into the air, but I took him down right after that while another enemy stayed nearby.
I took down the other shield warrior as well. Soon, only a single spearman was left alive, and he rushed toward me to attack.
I changed my stance into the wind stance to counter him effectively. I attacked him and took him down, which officially finished off the entire Mongol patrol.
The last spearman was still clinging to life on the ground, so I ended his suffering by driving my sword through his back.
Through this battle, I felt like I managed to avenge the death of the fallen samurai.
