I ventured into the Ordinary AWE in search of the Slide Projector Object of Power. After activating a switch, I uncovered a detailed 3D map of a model city. Enemy forces immediately attacked, forcing me into an intense firefight. I used height, cover, and smart tactics to defeat a heavily armored officer before getting ambushed.
I needed to search for the Slide Projector Object of Power, and to do that, I had to make my way to the Ordinary AWE. I moved forward, hoping to find the exact room I was looking for.
When I reached the area, I spotted a switch on the wall and pressed it. The action triggered a massive door to open, revealing the Ordinary area. The room held a detailed 3D model map of Jesse's neighborhood, complete with miniature homes, the local school, the surrounding woods, and the dump.
As I surveyed the area, I realized there was no immediate interaction available, but my presence quickly drew unwanted attention. Hiss monsters spawned into the room to attack me.
Right away, a heavily armored Hiss staff officer armed with a grenade launcher targeted my position and launched a high-explosive round straight at me. I reacted quickly and managed to dodge the incoming blast.
The officer kept firing grenades, saturating my position with heavy explosions. I looked for an opportunity to strike back, but the object I threw at him was destroyed mid-way.
Realizing how dangerous he was, I knew I had to play it smart against his heavy armor and continuous barrage of explosives.
I tried using his own momentum against him. When I got close, he fired a grenade, but I dodged out of the way just in time, causing the explosive splash to damage him instead.
Despite that clever move, I was taking too much damage, and my health dropped into the danger zone. I backed away and retreated toward the elevated switch area near the entrance door, hoping the high ground and doorway would prevent the enemies from swarming up to me.
With no health crystals left around me to regenerate my health, staying in cover was my only viable strategy. Remaining exposed out in the open meant certain death.
The grenade launcher kept firing rounds into the backup room, but luckily, the entity could not easily climb up to reach my specific ledge. I used the doorway as a chokepoint, constantly peeking out to attack him before ducking back into safety.
The staff officer was remarkably tough and refused to go down easily. At one point, he managed to land a grenade right in the middle of my cover area, but I was extremely lucky to survive the blast.
I kept up the pressure, firing relentlessly while stepping back to avoid incoming heat. It was a patient, calculated strategy, but it paid off.
I finally took down the heavy staff officer, taking him out just as he launched one final, desperate grenade that I had to dodge quickly.
Believing the area was completely clear, I stepped down from the high ground to harvest health particles. Unfortunately, an enemy was waiting to ambush me and shot me down instantly before I could recover.
