Medio a帽o creciendo mientras la naturaleza dorm铆a.

S铆 me acompa帽aste en mi relato.

First walk of the austral spring

By morning, the rain was still falling with the same intensity as the night before, punctuated by lightning and thunder that shook the very foundations of sleep鈥攔umored to have even shifted the bed. I heard it, yet my slumber held steady until the dawn鈥檚 light began to filter in through the window.

By afternoon, the clouds had partially cleared; our longing for sunshine drew us outdoors, though we wondered whether the sun would warm us or a sudden downpour would catch us off guard.

Watching the ground to avoid stumbling, while simultaneously lifting one's gaze toward the infinite sky.

From autumn through spring, in the shadow of the cranes, a feat of human ingenuity rises from foundations hidden deep underground.

The same corner in April. Six months of growth while nature slumbered.

With a steadier hand and better aim to align the images, I could give the building an extra story鈥攐r, if reality mirrored imagination, two extra stories. In any case, I鈥檇 choose the lower one, just in case those chimneys start belching out thick clouds of smoke.

The strength and iron-clad beauty of a century ago stand at the gateway of towering walls that wait to see us grow until we feel like giants.

A look of doubt or sadness? No鈥攊mpatience, actually. She wants to press on for her own reasons, yet she waits patiently while I stop, just as I do when she is the one who pauses.

So, you鈥檝e followed along with my story. Pause to enjoy the color鈥攕o vivid you can almost smell it. I鈥檓 just about to wrap things up.

We quicken our pace from this corner as the sun prepares to set, bringing the temperature down with it. It shifts from cool and warm to freezing, thanks to a breeze that practically pushes us to head back.

All the photos were taken yesterday, Saturday鈥攅xcept for the third one鈥攁s noted in the text I originally wrote in Spanish and am now sharing with you in English via Google Translate; a habit I鈥檓 currently debating whether or not to abandon.
