Misión cumplida! Ahora sí soy Licenciado en Biología/ Mission accomplished! Now I have a degree in Biology [ESP/ENG]
Por fin se me dió el tener el título que tanto desee desde hace 11 años que inicié en la Universidad de Oriente (UDO). Si fuera de los que creyera en el destino predeterminado diría que este era el mío, así yo y ciertas circunstancias me hicieran atrasar esta meta.
Finally, I was given the degree that I have wanted so much since 11 years ago when I started at the Universidad de Oriente (UDO). If I were one of those who believed in a predetermined destiny, I would say that this was my destiny, even if I and certain circumstances made me delay this goal.

Hello beautiful people of the GEMS community here @eudarcabello to tell you a summary of all this mission already accomplished to finally become a Bachelor in Biology.

Si bien inicié en la UDO por la licenciatura en biología, al ver el trabajo de muchos en esta carrera era dar clases y que la idea original era estudiar medicina, decidí cambiarme a Licenciatura en Bioanalisis dónde termine conociendo al par de mujeres más geniales del mundo y que amo con mi vida.
Although I started at the UDO for the degree in biology, when I saw the work of many in this career was teaching and that the original idea was to study medicine, I decided to change to a degree in Bioanalysis where I ended up meeting a couple of the coolest women in the world and that I love with my life.
En Bioanalisis dure 2 años hasta que me di cuenta que no tengo la vocación para atender al público, con sus quejidos y todo esto que se Lidia al estudiar esta carrera. También al iniciar en la UDO sabía que lo mío eran las plantas y que me había enamorado de la Biología así que allí era donde debía estar.
In Bioanalisis I lasted 2 years until I realized that I do not have the vocation to serve the public, with their whining and all this that is Lidia to study this career. Also when I started at UDO I knew that plants were my thing and that I had fallen in love with Biology so that was where I had to be.
Al regresar a Biología coincido con los amigos que inicie en la universidad, que la verdad siempre visitaba y nos reuníamos para hablar y compartir, a ellos no les fue tan bien y esta vez dijimos que nos apoyaríamos y ahora si nos iría genial. Para mí inicie en este regreso con fuerza, tan es asi que fui preparador docente y dure alli por aproximadamente tres años, esto para la materia de botánica 1 y también botánica fanerogámica para la carrera de educación mención biología.
When I returned to Biology, I met up with the friends I started in college, who I always visited and we always met to talk and share, but they did not do so well and this time we said that we would support each other and now we would do great. For me I started in this return with force, so much so that I was a teacher trainer and lasted there for about three years, this for the subject of botany 1 and also phanerogamic botany for the career of education mention in biology.
No todo fue rosa en biología para mí, ya que al ver bioestadística el estrés, poco tiempo por ser preparador docente y debía hacer todos los informes de las materias, estudiar, dormir poco, comer mal y todos esos desarreglos me llevaron a un coma diabético y desde allí soy insulinodependiente, también perdí o reprobe ese semestre todas las materias ya que estaba enfermo. Ahora por decir de alguna forma más reciente el trabajo de grado con los problemas que estos traen, desacuerdos con la asesora y otros ciertos inconvenientes atrasaron mucho más mi culminación pronta de la carrera.
Not everything was rosy in biology for me, because when I saw biostatistics the stress, little time because I was a teacher trainer and I had to do all the reports of the subjects, study, sleep little, eat poorly and all these disorders led me to a diabetic coma and since then I am insulin dependent, I also lost or failed that semester all the subjects because I was sick. Now, to say in a more recent way, the degree work with the problems that it brings, disagreements with the advisor and other certain inconveniences delayed much more my early completion of the career.
El día de entrega de título resultó parecido a mi camino en la universidad, se anunció una tormenta que gracias a Dios no se dió, tuve que lidiar con sol, calor problemas de señal telefónica para pagar el paquete de las fotografías, lidiar con fotógrafos de mal humor. Todo podría hacer ver qué fue un día de lo peor pero ver qué me gradué con los que inicie en la universidad y con las amigas de la otra carrera que estuve por corto tiempo se sintió que si se cumplió ese sueño que no sabía que tenía.
The graduation day turned out to be similar to my way through college, a storm was announced but thank God it didn't happen, I had to deal with sun, heat, phone signal problems to pay for the package of photographs, deal with grumpy photographers. Everything could make it look like it was a day of the worst but to see that I graduated with those I started in college and with friends from the other career that I was in for a short time, it felt like I had fulfilled that dream that I didn't know I had.
Hoy puedo decir que lo logré y que soy Licenciado en biología. No sé si deba decir si valió o no la pena todo, pero si que fue emocionante. Bien por los que su paso por su título fue tranquilo, en mi caso tuve de todo y al final también logré mi meta. Que sirva también de inspiración a los que sienten que todo ese esfuerzo y capaz no se logre nada, tu así sea ponle más ganas y claro q se puede.
Today I can say that I made it and that I have a degree in biology. I don't know if I should say if it was worth it or not, but it was exciting. Good for those who had a smooth passage through their degree, in my case I had everything and in the end I also achieved my goal. May it also serve as an inspiration to those who feel that all that effort and may not achieve anything, just put more effort and of course you can.
