I had another song in mind, but I ended up making this one—I still think it fits the theme perfectly. I don't even know how this song popped into my head, but I couldn't get it out, so I ended up making it.
Hi wonderful people of the HIVE OPEN MIC community, It’s
@eudarcabello here, and this time I’m participating in Week 338, titled Déjà Vu. I didn’t want to leave this post until the last minute—I always do my best to post on time each week, but this time I didn’t manage it. I hope to stay on schedule from now on, for real. The crazy thing is that I finally finished my grad school exams—they were really driving me nuts—even though I’m already out of the program because I failed one of the courses. As for my thesis, I’m still being a bit lazy; it’s actually a project for my current job. So even though I’m no longer in the Marine Biology grad program, its shadow still haunts me. Let’s hope it’s over soon, and maybe another opportunity for a grad program will come up. I find the song I chose to be incredibly liberating; its lyrics are among the most cathartic—in my opinion, of course—popularized by this Mexican singer with a Spanish rock vibe, the kind that seems timeless, almost unchanged. I think I’ve got these lyrics etched in my head; they’re not that complicated. Maybe next time I’ll approach it differently in terms of vocal dynamics. I know this version I tried doesn’t have as many fans. I love that even though she might have more current songs or collaborations, she’s never compromised her style—I’m sure that’s why her longtime fans always stand by her. It’s true that she continues to be the subject of controversy, but she’s still had an unmistakable voice for decades. I’m talking about Alejandra Guzmán, and it’s time to talk about the song titled “to love you again”. I didn’t want to keep racking my brain to see if another song would come to mind; I’m satisfied with how my choice turned out for this theme. Without a doubt, I needed to do this—to release any tension—so it seemed like the right thing to do.

Many people believe that déjà vu is something mystical; others think it's the brain being overly analytical and predicting things that might happen. Whatever it is, it still gives you a bit of a jolt when it happens.
I guess it was a half-measure—I figured I’d want to fail my students when I saw what they were answering if I got upset, since I’d told them in class not to include certain things. In the end, since I gave away free points and allowed optional answers, everyone who turned in their work passed. One student is missing—the most problematic one I have. For him, there are no extra points; on the contrary, for every day he’s absent, he loses points. Maybe a dream I had turned out to be déjà vu—I hope not. I don’t want to think about any more make-up exams.
I try to let all the things in my life flow, I might try to force everything a little bit, like with the Marine Biology postgraduate course or trying to be constant in Hive, but whatever ends up turning out, I know I will know how to accept it. Grateful for all the good things that have happened to me and the bad things that I have gotten rid of, for your support, I hope you also visit my other posts, good luck with your content and see you next week.
