“I mean, soccer is interesting, but we could make it better.”
Best friends nine-year-old Milton Trent and nine-year-old George Ludlow were planning to revolutionize soccer … and more. Milton had started the brainstorm and George picked it up.
“Because there's too much running in one direction and then the other to score a goal,” George said.”They need to put the nets on a golf cart and have them wheeled around the field to keep it interesting.”
“You know what else needs that?” Milton said.
“What?” George said.
“Basketball,” Milton said. “Get those hoops moving, and now things are getting interesting!”
“Oh yeah – and street basketball would take on a whole meaning!” George said.
“We could be walkng down the street and just getting our hoops in – riding in the car and opening the window and getting it in!” Milton said. “Drive-by hooping instead of drive-by shooting – we could save lives and neighborhoods!”
“Yeah!” George said. “This is great – we just need the NBA to get with the program, and it is on!”
“I gotta get their number!” Milton said. “We are just one phone call away from a better world!”
