A couple of months ago I bought canned coconut milk. Honestly, I like making my own, but some recipes absolutely require canned coconut milk to achieve the desired consistency.
Sometimes I buy something and forget I have it, and then when I check my pantry I realize I have really useful ingredients for making great recipes. That's what happened with the coconut milk. I saw a recipe online that I liked, and bingo! I remembered I had exactly what I needed in my pantry.
So today we're going to make flan. It's a dessert that will save you in a pinch. It uses very few ingredients, it's quick to make, and it's delicious, with a very smooth texture! 👌

¡A veces me pasa que compro algo y se me olvida que lo tengo, y cuando hago mis revisiones en la despensa me doy cuenta de que hay ingredientes muy útiles para hacer recetas geniales, así me pasó con la leche de coco, vi una receta por internet que me gustó, y bingo! me acordé de que en mi despensa tenía justo lo que necesitaba para hacer esta receta.
así que hoy vamos a hacer un flan, es un postre que te va a sacar de apuros, se usan muy pocos ingredientes, se hace en poco tiempo y queda muy rico, con una textura muy suave al paladar! 👌

-1 can of coconut milk, 400 ml.
-30 grams of sugar.
-2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.
-1 teaspoon of agar-agar, vegetable gelling agent.
-1/8 teaspoon of salt.
-Square mold: 500 ml capacity.
-For the caramel: 3 tablespoons of granulated panela (unrefined cane sugar).
-1 tablespoon of water.
Dear friends, I apologize for not showing the photo of the ingredients, but between one thing and another I forgot to take the picture.
First, we'll make the caramel. In a saucepan, add 3 tablespoons of granulated panela and 1 tablespoon of water. Stir well and place over medium heat. Once it starts to boil, turn off the heat and pour the caramel into the mold you'll be using.
Lo primero que vamos a hacer es el caramelo, en una olla echamos las 3 cucharadas de panela granulada y la cucharada de agua, removemos bien y llevamos a la cocina a fuego medio, cuando empiece a hervir apagamos la cocina y vertemos el caramelo en el molde que vamos a usar.
Now in a pot we are going to pour the coconut milk along with the other ingredients, such as sugar and agar agar.
Vanilla essence and salt.
Then we beat, thoroughly integrating the ingredients.
We cook this mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly. When it starts to boil, we let it cook for 3 more minutes without stopping the whisking. We do this to prevent the mixture from sticking.
Now we pour the mixture into our mold and let it cool to room temperature.
We put it in the refrigerator until it sets well, about three hours should be enough.
Once the allotted time has passed, we take our flan out of the refrigerator, unmold it, and it's ready to enjoy! 😋 This is a very smooth and delicate dessert 😍
