[POL] Wczoraj nie miałem zbyt dużo czasu na spacery. Potrzebowałem więcej niż zwykle czasu, żeby odespać nocną zmianę. Zrobiłem małe zakupy i wprost ze sklepu pojechałem na spacer do Obourg. W okolicach tej niewielkiej miejscowości w sierpniu 1914 roku zabity został John Parr - według oceny wielu historyków pierwszy brytyjski żołnierz, który zginął podczas I wojny światowej. Niestety nie znalazłem tam żadnej pamiątkowej tablicy poświęconej temu wydarzeniu. Jego grób znajduje się kilka kilometrów od tego miejsca na Cmentarzu Wojskowym w Saint-Symphorien.
[ENG] I didn't have much time to walk around yesterday. I needed more time than usual to sleep off the night shift. I did a little shopping and straight from the shop went for a walk to Obourg. In the vicinity of this small village, in August 1914, John Parr was killed - in the estimation of many historians, the first British soldier to die in the First World War. Unfortunately I could not find any commemorative plaque dedicated to this event there. His grave is located a few kilometres from this place in the Military Cemetery in Saint-Symphorien.
[POL] Na okolicznych łąkach wokół Obourga kwitnie wiele czerwonych maków. Po wojnie okopowej na polach makowych Flandrii w Belgii podczas I wojny światowej kwiaty te stały się symbolem pamięci o żołnierzach, którzy zginęli w czasie wojny.
[ENG] Many red poppies bloom in the surrounding meadows around Obourg. After the trench warfare in the poppy fields of Flanders in Belgium during the First World War, these flowers became a symbol of remembrance for the soldiers who died during the war.
[POL] Zrobiłem tylko krótki spacer, bo chciałem zdążyć na mecz Polska - Słowacja, ale po kwadransie meczu zacząłem żałować, że nie spędziłem tego czasu na dłuższym spacerze. Kontynuuję swoją dietetyczno-kulinarną przygodę, po pierwszym tygodniu, kiedy to waga spadała jak szalona, w drugim nie było tak spektakularnych sukcesów, ale nie poddaję się. Wczoraj przygotowałem na obiad pierś z kurczaka z ryżem i surówką z pomidorów.
[ENG] I only did a short walk because I wanted to watch the Poland - Slovakia match, but after a quarter of an hour of the match I started to regret not spending that time on a longer walk. I continue my diet-culinary adventure, after the first week, when the weight dropped like crazy, in the second week was not so spectacular success, but I do not give up. Yesterday I prepared chicken breast with rice and tomato salad for dinner.
