In my "new" series "Way of the Peaceful Warrior" I will tell you about my life as daily as possible, but mainly about my sports activities.
(Renamed because I don't really strive for glory, but for other values)
This will be a daily article of my sporting activities and successes, as well as in the previous series.
I will tell you everything about my philosophy, training design, nutrition and also about my successes and failures.
In addition I intend to write articles about special topics, because I have a lot of experience and knowledge in some areas.
I am not a star or an important personality and I am not especially specialized in a certain topic; rather I am an all-rounder and try to unite as much as possible.
If you can learn anything from me, it is to be able to do everything!
It will be worth it for sure and you can always ask me everything in the comments about sport, nutrition and evetything else.
What did I do today?
After the overly awesome birthday party I still had to get up and go to work later on. Luckily I gained one hour of sleep by the time change.
There was a lot going on at work in the restaurant, because the polling station was opposite us. Today we voted and all politically committed people went to vote and wanted to eat afterwards; accordingly there was a lot to do.
I also went to vote, because it is important to get politically involved if you want to change something. A ballot paper alone is not enough, but it is still better than doing nothing. I get the impression from us in Germany anyway that nobody is interested in what is happening politically. As soon as elections of any kind are due, supposed "Facebook policy experts" appear, tell their opinions and disappear after the elections for up to 4 years.
Anyway, I went home after the elections and relaxed for the rest of the day. A little SteemIt, Youtube, podcasts, some reading and 2 walks in between and the day was almost over. Tomorrow the new week starts with its own challenges.
60 days of consistent performance
Exercise is of course healthy. For this I have set myself the goal of covering at least 8000 steps every day. Whenever I have been sitting for a long time, I go out again and again to do a few laps around the block. On this day I have now covered at least 8000 steps for 60 days. That doesn't sound like much at first, but let's take a closer look:
With my GPS clock I can track, record and evaluate my activities very accurately. Let's have a look at the last 4 weeks:
I have walked the last 4 weeks on average 11.278 steps per day. So again about 3200 over my actual goal. In 4 weeks that was 304,527 steps and thus 243.67 kilometres!!! That is already a mighty number! In addition there are the swimming and bicycle units, which were not included here!
We are talking about 250 kilometres!!
One sees that small cattle also makes crap. Which of you runs so much? What influence would 200km running a month have on your health? Especially the office stallions among us, who only sit all day due to their jobs and maybe do no sport as compensation?
The human being is made to run and move. It is simply not built for today's circumstances and needs variety.
In any case I am proud of my performance. I haven't missed a day and have taken these 8000+ steps every day, even if sometimes I would have preferred to stay in bed instead of going out again at 11 p.m. at 10 degrees. Setting goals and completing them is important and ensures discipline, even if they are supposedly small. Small cattle can also make a huge pile. I am small and I lay huge piles!!
Let's summarize the week:
- Training sessions were a bit confused by the actual plan, but they were fulfilled.
- At the shooting competition my team and I finished third!
- I slowly come back in on SteemIt. Read more, get more payout and hope that my blog gets more relevance in the future. For this I definitely have to be a little more active. The ideas are there, there is only a lack of laziness towards Steemit...
- I'm even better than last week. Who has stopped getting better, has stopped being good!
