Our bar project

⭐¡Saludos #SWC! Esta semana tuvimos a @manuelramos de visita en el estado Zulia para hablar sobre algunos proyectos que se quieren llevar a cabo en la región. Entre esos proyectos está el tema de la construcción de barras para calistenia en los espacios del Parque Rafael Urdaneta ubicado en el centro de la ciudad de Maracaibo y de otro parque ubicado al sur de la ciudad en el sector Pomona. Por esta razón @luisarrazola también se reunió con nosotros en el Parque Vereda del Lago, donde pudimos entrenar juntos y compartir espectativas sobre SWC y la blockchain de HIVE.

Un proyecto autónomo

💪Desde hace 2 años el club Without Limits ha pretendido extender el espacio biosaludable del Parque Rafael Urdaneta con barras especiales para calistenia, puesto que es una zona céntrica a la cual muchos jóvenes tienen acceso. El proyecto ha pasado por varias etapas y Without Limits logró conseguir parte del material para llevarlo a cabo, sin embargo aún falta otra parte y los recursos son escasos.

Una necesidad ignorada

😢Without Limits solicitó apoyo a las autoridades locales y regionales para financiar la construcción del nuevo set de barras, pero todas las solicitudes fueron rechadas, lo que motivó a los atletas a organizarse para pagar un espacio público con dinero de su propio bolsillo. Las rifas y planes que se hicieron para poder financiar el proyecto no fueron muy apoyadas, sin embargo se obtuvieron los permisos necesarios para realizar la obra en el parque gracias a la recolección de más de 100 firmas.

SWC: Una oportunidad inesperada

😦Cuando conocimos a SWC fuimos escépticos respecto a poder conseguir dinero haciendo lo que amamos: street workout y calistenia, sin embargo con el tiempo vimos que todo era cierto. Tuvimos la primera competencia de calistenia en el Zulia, y fuimos votados por publicar fotos de nuestras habilidades en HIVE. Por otra parte Manuel Ramos nos ofreció todo su apoyo y dijo que el financiamiento no sería problema cuando le comentamos nuestra iniciativa de construir las nuevas barras, en las cuales un atleta pueda desarrollar todo su potencial.

Una estructura de calidad

👊Por otra parte, conversamos con las autoridades públicas, específicamente con la Alcaldía de Maracaibo, para llegar a un acuerdo de promoción de la blockchain. Lo que ofrecimos fue construir estos espacios en diversos puntos de la ciudad a cambio de publicidad en espacios públicos como parques y avenidas para la blockchain de HIVE. De esta manera el proyecto tendrá un mayor efecto positivo para la comunidad de SWC y la calistenia en Venezuela.

👉Sin embargo, estamos conscientes de que este proceso requiere tiempo y mucho esfuerzo, pero confiamos en que al final rendirá sus frutos. Por ahora estamos tanteando detalles del diseño, el presupuesto y la mano de obra para hacer un proyecto de la máxima calidad posible. ¡Les seguiré informando en mi blog sobre el progreso de este proyecto!

⭐Greetings #SWC! This week we had @manuelramos visiting the state of Zulia to talk about some projects to be carried out in the region. Among these projects is the construction of calisthenics bars in the Rafael Urdaneta Park located in the center of the city of Maracaibo and another park located south of the city in the Pomona sector. For this reason @luisarrazola also met with us at Vereda del Lago Park, where we were able to train together and share expectations about SWC and the HIVE blockchain.

An autonomous project

💪For the past 2 years the Without Limits club has sought to extend the bio-healthy space in Rafael Urdaneta Park with special bars for calisthenics, since it is a central area to which many young people have access. The project has gone through several stages and Without Limits was able to obtain part of the material to carry it out, but there is still another part missing and resources are scarce.

An ignored need

😢Without Limits requested support from local and regional authorities to finance the construction of the new set of bars, but all requests were rejected, which motivated the athletes to organize themselves to pay for a public space with money from their own pockets. The raffles and plans to finance the project were not well supported, but the necessary permits were obtained thanks to the collection of more than 100 signatures.

SWC: An unexpected opportunity

😦When we first met SWC we were skeptical about being able to make money doing what we love: street workout and calisthenics, however with time we saw that it was all true. We had the first calisthenics competition in Zulia, and we were voted for publishing photos of our skills in HIVE. On the other hand Manuel Ramos offered us all his support and said that funding would not be a problem when we told him about our initiative to build the new bars, in which an athlete can develop his full potential.

A quality structure

👊On the other hand, we talked with public authorities, specifically with the Mayor's Office of Maracaibo, to reach an agreement to promote the blockchain. What we offered was to build these spaces in various parts of the city in exchange for advertising in public spaces such as parks and avenues for the HIVE blockchain. This way the project will have a greater positive effect for the SWC community and calisthenics in Venezuela.

👉However, we are aware that this process takes time and a lot of effort, but we are confident that it will pay off in the end. For now we are looking into the details of the design, budget and workmanship to make a project of the highest possible quality. I will keep you updated in my blog on the progress of this project!
