Happy Sunday, fellow runners!β¨
Today I went for a run for the first time without having paid for the race, haha, but I really had a good time. I regret not paying the entry fee because the shirt was cute and I missed out on the medal. Anyway, hereβs how it went.
The race, called 5K SUMANDO SONRISAS, was quite well-attended and well-organized, and the weather really helped the runners perform well. I ran with my team, Bochinche Running Club, and during the race, my partner was Gabo, who was mostly just keeping me company. I felt a little guilty for slowing him down, but I was really glad he stayed with me; it motivated me to pick up my pace and barely walk at all.
I ran my 5K in 28 minutes and 19 seconds. Iβm glad I managed to finish under 30 minutes, although I know I can do better. Iβd like to improve my habits to see more satisfying results.
The racing season has kicked off here in MaturΓn with this race, so youβll probably see me around here often with my team. Even if Iβm not registered, Iβll be training for the long-awaited Farmatina 10K. I hope to keep improving, and I hope running with others will help and motivate me to train better.
Thatβs all for now, but Iβll definitely be posting more updates throughout the week. Sending you all a hug, and letβs keep spreading smiles.πβ¨
