Welcome back to Maledicturs Terra. This is a Chain Story between myself and @lex-zaiya, meaning that we each write the parts alternatively.

Part 36
He was reading one book and making entries into another when he felt the powerful magical presence disturb his wards within the Castle. He nearly set his pen down and rose to get ready for a fight when he detected the type of magic that was travelling along the hallway outside.
A moment more of concentration told him that the source was moving from the Stables directly towards his chambers. Not reporting to the Master of the Guard or even the Queen.
He then got up and made his way to the door of his chambers and openeded it just as the other magical power reached the other side of the door. "Noxus." He said. "Welcome."
He nearly retracted his invitation and slammed the door when he began hearing the unending scream that he knew was not filling the hallway with sound, but his mind.
He looked at the cloak that was wrapped with magic around the long tapered object and he knew instantly who had sent it. "Come inside. Do not take it out. Let me prepare a place for it that we can ward it."
"Good day Adiran. Sharp as ever I see. You were quick to discern the nature of the sword." Noxus said as she walked into the chamber.
"As much as I enjoy to maintain my air of mystique amongst those who do not understand magic, I feel like I should implore you to share with me the details of how you obtained this sword. I know something about it, I recognize it. But more information would actually be useful right now."
Adiran swept a dozen books and several other items off one of his desks and inscribed an oval onto the heavy wood. He drew symbols and runes on the circle so fast and in such complexity that Noxus could not keep up, nor did she know what they meant.
"There. Lay it within the oval."
Noxus complied and explained that they had been on the return to the castle from the Orc encampment when they had encountered Millmor, Rex and Robert. She had explained the battle, or scuffle as it were and how she had been sent ahead with the sword.
"Hmmmm.... very well." Adiran said. "I shall need to tend to Magna when she arrives, but she can go to her mother first. Derric has to come to me first and foremost. I need to make sure that his injury does not carry infection."
"You think it likely?"
"When dealing with magical cursed swords which scream into your brain, you hardly want to mess around."
"So why not worry about the Princess? Your Niece?"
"Because in her, this thing would have to fight more than one other force in order to try assume control or influence in her. She is rather resistant." He started collecting things from shelves. "I shall begin preparing for their arrival. You can bring the boy to me. If I have time spare after that I will get reacquainted with our old friend here."
