Introduction

This week battle mage secret: explosive weaponry love this rule set, where every monster gets blast. Most of the time that is equals to have funny battles.

Ruleset

Does additional damage to Monsters adjacent to the target monster.
Additional damage is equivalent to main damage divided by 2, rounded up.

Official ruleset information from splinterlands: List-of-In-Game-Rulesets

Abilities Synergies

abilities that benifits
Reflection shield - With the explosive weaponry rules reflection shield is almost a must have. This absorbs the blast damage.
True Strike - Make sure your monster hits so it triggers blast, no attack is wasted!
Scattershot - this is so much fun when explosive weaponry is in the mix. becuase you cannot predict the target it is often not the first position so big chance it hitting in the middle doing 2 monster extra blast damage.
Scavenger - Allow your scavenger to increase their health stat while both your and your opponent's monsters fall to blast!
/ Snipe / Opportunity - Focus your attack on monsters not in the first position to maximize damage to adjacent monsters.
Martyr - when places well the blast damage can take it down early to trigger martyr and boost 2 adjacent monsters.
Recharge - One of the few time recharge is a bonus because the 3x times damage also help do extra damage with blast. Example when a monster does 3 damage and has recharge it does 6 damage every other round which make blast do 2 damage iso of 1 damage.

Rulesset befenits
Holy Protection - Use blast to disable your opponent's divine shield.
Target practice - for maximum impact, monsters should snipe monsters located closer to the center of your opponent's back line. That way, you have 3 monsters taking damage instead of 2. Magic monsters may be nested closer to the center of your opponent's back line. When this ruleset is also in play really use some monster with reflection shield

Avoid

Beware of abilities
/ Magic Reflect / Return Fire - Your blasting monster will take magic reflect or return fire damage from all monsters impacted by your own blast monster!
Enrage - Blast can enrage your opponent's monsters - adding +1 to speed and melee attack be careful to use this ability.

beware of rulesets
/ **Counterspell / Fire and regret ** - Your blasting monster will take magic reflect /return fire damage from all monsters impacted by blast!
Spreading Fury - Blast can enrage your opponent's monsters -- adding +1 to speed and melee attack.

Example battle

Lets have a look an a battle with explosive weaponry.

Strategy

Medium mana battle and most of the splinters are available.
unfortunately no water because that has some nice reflection shield monsters.

Rulesets

Explosive Weaponry:
This week rules set. all monster will gain the blast ability.

Odd Ones Out:
Only odd mana cost monster may be used

Ferocity:
All monster will have the Fury ability, so all monster will do double damage against taunt monsters.

The Lineup

Summoner

CardReason
here she is again, the extra shield are important in a explosive weaponry rule set. and if you may hit first you will do the extra damage first therefor also speed is important in the explosive weaponry.

Monsters Lineup

#1#2#3#4#5#6

Blinding Reflector (lvl 8)
Some protection against magic damage. Also if this is hit by blast via an magic attack it will reflect some magic damage.

Chaos Agent (lvl 8)
In the second position if there is a opportunity monster it will strike this one first. high chance on a miss then there will be no blast. when it is hit by magic attack the blast is also reflected by the Blinding Reflector

Spirit Hoarder (lvl 3)
Heal any backline monster. the extra blind might help more misses on the Chaos Agent.

Temporal Master (lvl 5)
I do not use this monster often because of the recharge. sometimes with a explosive weaponry it is useful because when it strikes it does 6 damage this will lead up to 2 addition blast damage in stead of the normal 1 damage.

Djinn Renova (lvl 5)
Another backline healer that also brings some extra health always a plus.

Gem Meteor (lvl 5)
Nice scattershot which might to lead some extra blast damage because it is unpredictable where it will strike

Rounds

Start :

image.png
Directly is see my opponent choice to play Venari Marksrat also monster is sometime play in this ruleset it will be killed pretty quickly because of the blast then it will boost the Pelacor Deceiver and the Silent Sha-vi.

Round 1:

image.png
My Gem Meteor hit their Ureaus perfect to strike 2 adjacent monsters. His martyr strategy also worked 4 damage now from Pelacor Deceiver and Silent Sha-vi.

Round 2:

image.png
A lot has happen in this round my Gem Meteor and Chaos Agent both are dead.
My Temporal Master has hit with 6 damage and 3 blast damage taking out the Pelacor Deceiver and really hurting the Silent Sha-vi.

Round 3:

image.png
Because of the speed my opponent may strike first this is what i ment about speed is also very important it almost take down all my monsters. I had just enough to strike back and kill the Silent Sha-vi and Ureaus with blast damage.
Now an range monster is in the front without close ranged so the battle is over.

Round 4:

Last devastating blow by the Temporal Master with 6 damage.

Conclusion

I must say i find it almost always fun to watch explosive weaponry battles. fun to see may different tactics. this match the recharge and scattershot are demonstrated but you can imagine nice battle with magic reflect/return fire/shield/reflection shield all have nice synergies with the explosive weaponry.
