I Tried an Aggressive Strategy in This 25 Mana Battle — Big Mistake!
In todays low mana battle there were some very good rule sets to see. One was also advantageous and one rule set was a little dangerous in the battle where all the powers of Fate Certainty have a 100% chance to trigger their hits.
This 25 mana battle was very interesting in terms of the rule sets monster selection and positioning.
Lets first understand the three rule sets that came in this battle and what plan I made according to them.
Rule Set 1 — OUTSIDER
According to this rule set you are allowed to summon only one Wild Unit. Even if you have more than one Wild Unit in your deck you can still select only one. Apart from this your other options will be disabled.
Therefore according to this rule set and the mana of this battle you should summon your Wild Unit that has the best powers and high health so that it can survive in the battle for as long as possible.
Rule Set 2 — MANEUVERS
All units have Reach. Whatever units there are whether they are allied units or enemy units all of them get the Reach ability.
The Reach ability is related to monsters with melee attacks which means you can place them in the second position and still make them attack.
Normally what happens is that a melee attack can only attack from the front position but a monster that has the Reach ability can also attack while staying in the second position.
So according to this rule set all units have received the Reach ability. Therefore according to this rule set it is necessary to follow a strategy where you select a monster with strong melee power.
And place it in the second position so that a good combination can be made between the front line and the second position. Because of continuous attacks the health of the enemy units will keep getting destroyed.
Rule Set 3 — FATE CERTAINTY
According to this rule set monsters with the abilities Affliction, Poison, Poison Burst and Stun are given preference because they have a 100% chance to trigger.
If you have a monster card with these abilities you must select it in this battle because there is a 100% chance of triggering. Especially Poison Burst is considered a very good ability where the health of all allied and enemy units will decrease by 2 every round because of Poison.
After correctly understanding these rule sets let’s find out what strategy I adopted in my monster selection.
MONSTERS SELECTION ACCORDING TO THESE RULESETS
Keeping these rule sets in mind I selected my Archon monster with the Plus One Health ability. Because of this at the beginning of the battle all of my units would receive Plus One Health meaning they would enter the battle with extra health.
In the first position I selected a strong melee attacker Ghora and in the second position I placed another melee attacker so that I could take advantage of the Reach ability given by the rule set.
So on the front line I prepared a strong melee combination. On the back line I also placed a strong ranged attacker.
Overall my strategy was that I selected a mixed combination of melee and ranged attackers and gave them the best positioning.
This was an aggressive stance from me in this battle.
ON THE BATTLEFIELD
When I looked at the enemy units on the battle field their selection was also quite good. He had selected all melee attackers for his units.
For a moment I thought that this would be a very complicated battle. I might even lose this battle because the enemy unit had focused more on health power. In other words at the start he selected a very strong tank monster which became quite difficult for me to eliminate.
And exactly what I was afraid of happened.
In the starting round the battle continued quite well because the enemy unit selected a monster with a Minus One ability. So at the beginning of the battle the health of all my allied units was reduced by one which became a big disadvantage for me.
In Round Two the battle was still very close but my front-line monster became quite weak because it did not have any armor.
In Round Three my front-line unit was destroyed while all of the enemy units were still alive. This was an alarming situation for me.
Similarly in Round Four my second-position unit was also destroyed and I had only one monster remaining in the back-end position. That monster could not survive and in this way I suffered my worst defeat in this battle.
The reason for this could be that I did not select a monster with strong health and armor on the front line because of which I lost this battle.
So according to these types of rule sets I should have selected a strong tank monster as well. But because I applied a completely aggressive stance I had to face defeat in this battle.
Still in this battle I would call my favorite monster my back-end monster because due to its heavy ranged attack it caused quite a lot of damage to the enemy units.
What would your strategy be in this type of rule set and which monsters would you give preference to? will be glad to see your answers in the comment section.
