In this video, I weigh the pros and cons of when the expected next core set for Splinterlands should launch. For most of this year, the expectation was that it would launch in 2026 but given many of the changes and events that have happened the last few months, it is worth considering pushing it to early 2027. Those changes were the restructure of the team and revised DAO funding proposal which has now put the team in a better position financially. The recent surge in token values and credits entering the ecosystem also lends towards the team/DAO not needing a major revenue generator immediately. Combine that with the expanded scope of Land 2.0 and Buildings which is expected to launch before the end of the year and it could almost make sense to push it a month or two into 2027. What do you think?
