All of the photos in this set were taken on May 16th, 1962 at the civic center in Lansing and are labeled 'Senior Cit State Get Together'. Apparently this was some kind of convention for senior citizens.

It's a fruit from Asia and it's surprisingly sweet and nice. The white part is edible. So you peel the brown part away. There's a stone or seed inside that you don't eat.

They are called "Pinky Pig Bun" and but there are no ingredients to say what it is made from at all. I'm not even sure if it is sweet or savoury. Suffice to say we didn't buy it!
