I don't know what to call this next one that I just invented today but I just love it. I started by coating the cast iron pan with olive oil and filled it with sauerkraut and some kind of mushrooms (Asian store special buy). I cooked it at about 400掳 for about 15 minutes. Sprinkled across the top garlic powder and some Italian spice mix. Layered on top of that a bunch of mozzarella cheese sprinkled on some more Italian seasoning and put it back in the oven on broil for about 10 minutes.

I served it with a grass fed beef patty topped with Sriracha sauce and parmesan cheese.

With my latest post in mind about taking my dental care completely into my own hands and the story about fermented foods in that blog: https://steemit.com/health/@vaughn-malecki/today-i-decided

... and than having run into this video tonight:

I decided to get into something new. Do some more fermenting with my fresh harvest and try out lacto-fermenting with whey.

Yesterday I also posted about my first time for lactofermented apple chutney and the how to video if you're interested: https://steemit.com/health/@vaughn-malecki/easy-lacto-fermented-apple-chutney

Here's 2 pints of kohlrabi, 1 of red onion and one of kohlrabi onion and garden fresh carrots I harvested s today.

On top of the apple chutney and the jars of whey vegetable ferments I made a new batch of sauerkraut which was long over due. You can see that behind the apple chutney.

Here's some pictures of my carrot harvest. It's not super impressive but it's nice to have color and fresh vegetables in December like I said I was going to have.

Here's a shot of a couple of my kohlrabi I harvested today. The biggest ones yet. Nobody else in the house likes kohlrabi much so I munched it raw, I fermented some and I even steamed some and mashed them like potatoes and they were amazing mixed in with the cauliflower Mac & Cheese.

I saved the greens to steam later in the week.

If that wasn't enough here's another thing I tossed together tonight. Dried cranberry & walnut Labneh drizzled with coconut oil.

Far too much for me to eat in just a couple days. All kinds of leftovers is great though because I got back into meal prepping for the week on the weekends while everyone else sleeps. It can be quite boring at this time being on the night shift.
