A much milder morning for a run up and down the new and more extreme biking trails on the hillsides rising above the campground.
My legs felt good and strong for a change and I'm happy that my endurance is beginning to return (although a ways to go yet before I'm ready for an ultra).
The trails are designed for bumpy and twisting downhill rides but I run wrong way up the steep climb to the trailhead before zipping back down over the somewhat treacherous path.
Then back onto the flat path and a few miles on the more mellow cross country cycling trails before wrapping up with almost 6 sweaty miles.
A great way to start the day.
Lulu and I headed up to Spearfish Falls for a later afternoon hike down to the falls. Still very dry and warm but the cool Glen around the falls was a pleasant break and we both love this place.
Back to volunteer work until Sunday.
