I've been seeing people harvesting loads of mushrooms around this time of year, especially different types of boletes. So I decided to look for some myself. I even went to a woodland further away, only

I hadn’t planned to post today, but my walk to the woodland turned into something productive and rather lovely, not for me, but for our wild, furry friends. When I arrived, I noticed that my little shelter

This idea came to me after chatting with my old neighbour, who was telling me enthusiastically about the old days when they used to cook bread over a fire on a stick. He was so detailed and enthusiastic

I was quite excited to see the seeds from my previous tomato plant grow. The previous plant came from a deep-red Black Krim tomato and produced black tomatoes, so I was wondering what colour the new tomatoes

Rainbows don’t come very often, and sometimes we are on the lookout for one. When it finally appears, it really excites us! Why? Because the beautiful colours catch our attention and can make us feel happy

One pastry that has always impressed me is the croissant. A few times, I’ve read baking books and planned to try making it, but I never quite found the courage because it looks challenging and very time

I’ve been a bit off the rails with my health routine recently, mainly missing my morning exercises because it’s been too warm. Yesterday and today have been much cooler, so I thought it was the best time

A lovely Caturday, and I've been picking dandelion leaves for a relative who needed them, and Blu happily came along too. It was such a warm day that Blu wanted to sit in my basket, but he is quite a heavy

We are in the height of summer! The heat of the sun hasn't given the mushrooms a chance to sprout. Earlier in the evening, after all my tasks were done, I nipped into the woodland but there were no mushrooms

A pretty hectic day, and I’ve been shuffling things around to fit one thing and another, etc. I was pleased I was able to experiment earlier this evening to share here in #fungifriday by @ewkaw: a lovely

This year I've been really keen to learn how to grow potatoes after seeing my neighbour grow them in bags. When it was time to harvest, they simply tipped the bags over and loads of beautiful red potatoes

What a beautiful day today! The sun wasn't too harsh, and there was a lovely freshness in the air. For me, it's the best time to be outdoors. I woke up late after a lazy weekend. Sometimes we need that

It’s been really warm around this time, and even though I drink plenty of water during the day, the sweating still makes you lose a lot of fluids and electrolytes. So it feels really good to have a warm,

One of the wild vegetables I enjoy harvesting most is wild garlic. It's only around for a short time, from spring to early summer, and as soon as the warm weather arrives, it seems to disappear completely.

One thing I like eating around this time of year, when everything is lush, is a mix of wild greens cooked in coconut milk with meat (lean meat or fish, if you are not on a high-fat diet). The good thing

I have never paid much attention to street kitties until I joined r/streetcatsoftheworld. I always thought that my own kitty posts were becoming boring, so I’m pleased to have a new type of post I can

Been a bit of a mix of everything today, but I made sure to get to the nearby woodland by the end of the day. The path to the woodland was filled with overgrown grass. And after managing to get through

I had been digging up the garden today because I was trying to get some topsoil to top up my plant pots, which were looking depleted and in need of fresh soil. The digging was pretty interesting because

The weather was decent today, so I decided to have a little walk. Along this little path, there's a pretty kitty who sits there looking lonely. Perhaps her owner is at work and she's waiting for them.

What an eerie end to my fungi hunting today. I found only a few mushrooms with interesting names; they aren't something extravagant, but I would like to show them anyway. As I entered the woodland, there
