Homemade Teriyaki Sauce with and or without sugar and soy sauce

             Teriyaki sauce with sugar

2 cups soy sauce

1 cup brown sugar (add more to sweeten as needed)

1 whole garlic chopped

chopped fresh ginger

add ingredients in sauce pan, heat slowly medium heat mixing together

until brown sugar melts stirring constantly.

Remove from heat prep your favorite meat to mix with teriyaki sauce

pick your favorite meat... whether you are leaving it whole or cut up pieces put into a glass baking pan and cover with your sauce cover and let sit in refrigerator 12 to 24 hours.

Chicken: best if you remove the skin and cut into bite size pieces or even leave whole if you prefer

Steak: cut into bite size or whole

Rotate meat in pan after few hours so all of it gets a good coating of Teriyaki sauce and it is covering all the meat.

Longer is best for teriyaki flavored meats but not longer than 48 hours before finally cooking. (meat safety issue)

When ready to cook, there are several ways to cook. You may cook on a grill, in the oven or stove top.

To cook on grill remove meat from sauce and cook accordingly

To cook in the oven ( for the most juiciest tasting meat) cook with sauce together

Stove top remove meat from glass pan, pour teriyaki sauce in pan, heat slowly then add your meat and cook until done.
