Custard filled buns is kind of a sweet with savory. It’s an exciting concept which requires making buns and then filling them up with custard. You can choose to fill the custard of your choice - mango/vanilla/butterscotch. When cut from the middle, the oozing custard is a wow factor if this dish.
1 cup wheat flour,
250 ml milk,
4 tbsp sugar,
1 tbsp dry yeast,
3 tbsp vegetable oil,
pinch of salt,
2 tbsp custard powder.
Step 1: take a small bowl and fill 1/4th of it with warm water. Add sugar and mix it well.
Step 2: add dry yeast to the milk and let it settle for about 10 minutes.
Step 3: take wheat flour in a bowl. Add salt. Make a well in the middle.
Step 4: in the well, add the yeast milk and mix well.
Step 5: start kneeling the flour while adding water as required. Kneed to a soft dough and keep aside for 1 hour while covering with damp cloth.
Step 7: make medium, bun sized balls of the dough. Let them
Settle at medium flame and fry on medium flame.
Step 8: prepare the custard while mixing custard powder, milk and sugar in a pan. Take the custard in a piping cone and fill the custards while make a small hole in the bun.
Step 9: serve hot.
