Just like rice, noodles are among the most versatile foods there is. I see noodles like a blank canvass which you can mix with any ingredients you can think of.

Noodles can be dry, soaked in soup, fried, etc; and they can be fancy or cheap, enough to save you when you're on a very tight budget. I like noodles because aside from it's easy to cook, noodles are easy and fun to eat. There's fun in twirling spaghetti noodles, you know, or is it just me? Hehe. However, spaghetti isn't the main topic for this post since I've already made a post about it way back March during my brother's birthday.

For today, I am going to highlight one of my favorite noodle soup, the SARDINE PAPAYA MISUA.

SARDINE PAPAYA MISUA

The type of noodle used for this recipe is "Misua". It's a very thin type of noodle made from wheat and mostly added on soups. (Not sure if there are dry recipes for this kind of noodle.) The misua noodle originated in the Fujian province of China. It's very easy to eat and light on the mouth.

Sardine Papaya Misua is one of the easiest noodle soup recipe we do here at home. Plus, it's also cheap! Most of the time, we use patola (sponge gourd) but we don't have it when me made this dish few days ago so we opted for papaya instead.

Please take note that you should consume this recipe immediately because the misua noodles quickly absorbs the soup. Apart from that, the Sardine Papaya Misua is a delicious noodle soup everyone can enjoy. You can also make it as your main dish by adding rice into it, if you like.

I don't eat papaya, however, I do when mixed into this noodle soup. :)
