The big maple tree in our front yard in the snow. The title of the post was a bit of a joke. I think this is the 5th straight post of winter scenes from the last snow storm 馃槉
I guess you have to follow your muse. The slanty tree is in a swampy area we walk by often. I always want it to be photogenic but it usually isn't. I do like this snowy scene though.
Giant white pines grow in the forest bordering our yard haha no pun intended they are white today but they are always Eastern white pine or Pinus strobus
Looking through the bare trees on the forest edge at the pines deeper in the woods.
Paper birch with their shaggy trunks add some color to a black and white landscape.
A big lopsided white pine in the distance. White pines grow opportunistically to capture the sun and also tend to lose some branches in the wind or heavy snow. They often have ragged shapes.
Its a little early but Merry Christmas 鈽冿笍馃巹馃巺馃ざ鉂勶笍
