Happy #fungifriday 馃崉 I noticed a large brown mushroom this morning and went back to check it out this afternoon. The mushroom is about 6 inches across.
I flipped the mushroom over to check the gills and was considering taking it inside to do a spore print.
When I noticed a white spore print under the mushroom cap!
It has been hot and still here. Looks like the mushroom already released alot of its spore.
The mushroom was found under a paper birch tree in south/central Addison County, Vermont.
