I wasn't catching much to take a photo of so I decided to do a photo merge test of the lake house. It mostly worked and made an interesting edge bloom effect as I had to shoot this with my zoom lens and compose it from about 5 images.

Then right as I finished shooting the lake house images a great blue heron decided to fly past me. I did my best to capture a flying shot. Unfortunately I had my camera set to landscape shooting mode so it ended up with quite a bit of noise.

The turtle was much easier to focus on. He is king of the mud heap for now.

This cardinal wouldn't cooperate with me and as I got closer and focused in on a shot he flew off. All I got was this far away shot. They have a camera forcefield around them, step one step too close and they fly off. But if you have no camera with you they tend to stick around and make you wish you had a camera with you.

All the bird boxes are full of tree swallows right now. I'm sure there are some babies in there right now.

The Canadian geese goslings have been whittled down from 21 to 9 now, and they are all following just one pair of goose parents. There were two other single mother geese before but they get chased away from the group by these two parents.

The goslings have already doubled in size since I first saw them about a couple weeks ago.

Soon they will be gawky teenage geese. Lets home these nine continue to survive the onslaught of whatever predators have been picking away at them.
