Hello everyone.
This weekend we were traveling and decided to take a break at Plivska jezera or Pliva Lakes. After several hours of driving this was an excellent place for a coffee and a short walk before continuing our journey. Now we have a Lake #WednesdayWalk.
Plivska jezera or Pliva Lakes are two biggest natural lakes in Bosnia and Herzegovina. There is Large and Small Lake on river Pliva.
They are located near town Jajce which is in the Central Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Very enjoyable rest place near main road. At this particular sport spot there is a wooden deck with boats. You can take a walk along the lakes as well.
Large Lake is 3.3 kilometers in length and average width of 400 meters. Maximum width is 700 meters.
Small Lake is around 950 meters in length while average width is 220 meters with maximum width of 430 meters.
There are a lot of boats to rent for a boat ride.
You cant miss the ducks.
First thing first. Time for a coffee. Super view to enjoy while drinking your coffee.
Meanwhile we were joined by the cat at our table.
Cat just hopped at the chair. Checked around. And decided to take a nap.
Nice place to take a nap on warm sunny day.
After the coffee break we went for a walk around the place.
It is nice that there is so much greenery around.
Wooden deck goes around this part of the lake. You can go for a kayaking, canoeing and use paddle boats. Enjoy the lake with boat or even go fishing.
Depth of the lakes is very interesting. Depth of the Large Lake is around 36 meters. I would have never assumed that. It is quite deep. Small Lake has depth somewhere around 24 meters.
There is a walkway near lake and banks to relax.
Ducks choose their spot.
While we were walking around all of a sudden I noticed this school of fish. I assume they were hiding beneath the structure or looking for food.
There were so many of them and movement was so smooth and synchronized.
We choose right place to take a rest. Walk around is calming and relaxing and views with lake and surroundings are lovely. I think taking a longer break here on other trips might be good idea.
Another enjoyable #WednesdayWalk.
