Another Chess960 Tournament done and 3 more to go. 22nd or September edition was a bit less exciting than usual. This time we got a new winner as the last 7 tournaments were won by only two different players.
More participant would be super but it is what it is.
Additional 20 Hive will be transferred for the next tournament as follows - Extra 10 Hive for the first place and extra 5 Hives each for both the runner up and the third place.

There was interesting game against
I was losing this game but I managed to set up attack on the King side.
Here even though it seems that I am threating check mate move to a3 with bishop is super defense. Evaluation bar is showing huge advantage to the black. But I saw this position as advantage for me. And I think my opponent saw it same as well so he played bishop takes h2 which was huge blunder.
Here I see I can just move my King or take the bishop. I know it is better if I dont take it but I did not see the check after this (both moves were fine ). I decided to take the bishop. And funny part is that check with the Queen at d6 is game over blunder as Rook to a8 is checkmate. (I did not see it as blunder). But after Queen check I took the Queen instead of blocking it with the pawn.
Here just pawn block is fine since a8 is checkmate.
I took the Queen and with so much material down lost it easily.
Too fast play maybe but.
It looks even funnier after I checked it now. It was two times missing winning move.

46th Fide Chess Olympiad Samarkad 2026 finished yesterday.
In open section gold medal winners are team Uzbekistan. 10 wins and 1 loss. They were third on the last Olympiad. Could they go for a repeat next year?
Winner from the last year India got silver medal this time and Germany got third place and bronze medal. Only Germany managed to win against Uzbekistan this year.
In woman section China took first place and gold medal. This year again Kazakhstan finished second - same as previous year. United States got Bronze again - same result as last year.
