Quizás en ese ojo
Quizás en ese ojo aparezcan las realidades
imágenes que seducen o te dañan,
quizás haya que cerrar los párpados
para ver lo que va por dentro,
lo que nos sacude como seres vivos,
aquellas miradas limpias,
donde los recuerdos recogen flores y construyen sonrisas.
Quizás me mire en ese rostro que edificó caminos,
en aquel que moldeó el tiempo labrando mi paso,
cambiando miedos,
encalleciendo mis manos.
Quizás en ese ojo corrieron lágrimas,
horizontes vacíos,
por donde la tristeza viajaba,
era preferible dejar que el viento te arrastrara
por esos senderos
donde la nada recreara otras vidas,
servicio de la imaginación,
donde los sueños permiten otra realidad.

Perhaps in that eye appear the realities
images that seduce or harm you,
maybe you have to close your eyelids
to see what goes inside,
what shakes us as living beings,
those clean looks,
where memories gather flowers and build smiles.
Maybe I'll look at myself in that face that built roads,
in the one that molded time, carving my path,
changing fears,
callousing my hands.
Perhaps in that eye tears ran,
empty horizons,
where sadness traveled,
it was preferable to let the wind carry you away
along those paths
where nothingness recreated other lives,
service of the imagination,
where dreams allow another reality.
