Hail to the Hive!
I do love coffee in all it’s guises, black, white hot or cold but this one was a new twist for me as I also love my beers in all their guises too. I’d dropped off some frozen croissants for my current Narrowboat neighbour as a favour and he’d invited me for a beer or 3 to say thanks. After a while chatting he showed me this
Now I,ve tried a coffee flavored porter before while in the Philippines but this Guinness coffee cold brew was a new one for me. So I had to give it a test drive.
Which came first the chicken or the egg?
It was delicious. Dangerously so. I could imagine drinking one of these in the morning on a hot day as it would almost feel like drinking coffee but as I’m not a big fan of morning boozing I will leave that thought where it belongs, in my imagination.
Mmm lovely. The problem is that once I’d given this beauty a test drive after I had already had a few beers it kind of tipped me over the edge…..and many more beers followed…….
the morning after the night before
Waking up later than usual, and feeling a little worse for wear and bleary, I needed coffee and even though I don’t usually do breakfast I needed a kick start so there was only on thing to do
cheesecake!
Caffeine and sugar oh yeah, got to be done. All a body needs in the morning and thats for sure. What is this ‘ serves 6 ‘ nonsense. Serves one more like, serves me 😄.
Now as a courtesy I did offer 
Hangover breakfast of champions.
Ingredients;
1 x pot of black coffee
1 x cheesecake ( any flavour will do )
Cut into slices and shovel into mouth, chewing optional.
Now that’s what I call a slice of fried gold. Am I the only one that does cheesecake for breakfast? Can’t be it feels so right I am sure many of you out there in Hive land do the same or similar. I’d call it a guilty pleasure if I actually felt any guilt but I don’t, so all pleasure.
Well it did sort me out but I do think I’ll be taking an afternoon siesta to recharge now also. I feel suitably gorged and content.
